What is it about Money?
Our relationship with money is often difficult. Some people don’t have a healthy attachment with their money, whilst others fear it and try to spend it or lose it as quickly as they can.
Financial advisers need to understand various dimensions including but not limited to investment, pension, real estate and knowing things that matter most to people including their attitude towards money.
Skills required by advisers are beyond financial expertise – they include patient listening, empathy and communication.
Fundamentally it’s about understanding people.
